The mission statement of Dancers At Sea is to facilitate the optimum experience for those who love to ballroom dance with trained and gracious partners.
All our hosts are energetic, professionally trained and are delightful and fun companions. Our hosts will dance exclusively with our
passengers and will also offer daily group dance instruction to all Dancers At Sea participants.

Wendy OlsenWendy Olsen - As owner of Dancers at Sea, Wendy combines her passion for Ballroom Dancing with years of experience in the Travel and Cruise Business. She coordinates all the travel and dancing details of a cruise to fulfill every dancer's dream. Mario AvilaMario Andreas Avila - Mario, born and raised in San Francisco, started dancing/performing in Diedra Meredith's Hip Hop company's at 15 yrs. old. At 18 he studied ballet with Eric Conrad and Jazz with Helen Jackson. At 25 he started dancing Ballroom and has been teaching ever since. Mario is a Pro-Am competitor, instructor/coach, choreographer and performer in American Rhythm, Smooth and International Latin. Known for the quality of instruction set by the industry standard DVIDA and recognized by the NDCA. Mario is the recipient of many top teacher awards with his pedagogy occurring under the direction of various coaches spanning a 20 year career in ballroom.
ShaidaShaida - As your reservation specialist and future cruise consultant, Shaida will take excellent care in arranging all the details to make your dance cruise dream a reality! Cheerful and helpful to all of our customers both in preparing for their voyage with answers to all of your questions as well as during their cruise with any requests...and Yes! She likes to dance too!  Steeve jean Louis Steeve jean Louis - An excellent professional dancer and competitor, Steeve Jean Louis teaches students in all American smooth, American rhythm, International Ballroom and International Latin dances. He began his training in ballroom dancing in 1997. Having discovered his true passion he moved to Florida in 2004 to perform, compete and teach. He has trained with several top dance champions and has won numerous top title in various dancesport championships. He is an outstanding teacher and one of the most versatile dancers in the world. You will light up the dance floor when you dance with Steeve!
Jacklyn ShapiroJacklyn Shapiro - Jacklyn is both an excellent instructor as well as performer in a variety of dances. Instructing group classes and private lessons from beginner (bronze) to advanced level (gold) in both American and International styles of Ballroom Dance, Argentine Tango and Latin Dance (Salsa/Bachata). Todd Hansen Todd Hansen - Todd has been watching ballroom dancing his entire life because his parents met on a dance team in college, but he never had any formal lessons. When he got to college at Utah Valley Univ., he took a class... that turned into 2 classes... which turned into 4 classes, and soon he was doing little else but dancing. He has been competing both Standard and Latin, making it into the top 24 Couples in the USA in the Amateur Standard level in 2009. He started teaching in 2004, and in 2011 he ran the Ballroom Program at the University of Utah and co-directed the Ballroom Dance formation teams. He has traveled the world teaching on cruise ships in his spare time. He moved back to Colorado in 2019 and Has been teaching all 4 styles ever since.
Amber AustinAmber Austin - Amber resides in Ashville, NC where she is a certified instructor of all ballroom generes. An expert of rhythm and interpretive movement, and performer of classical, modern,and acrobatic theatrical arts. She is gracious, friendly and will enhance your dancing both in learning and social dancing to your hearts content! Derrick Van Adrighem Derrick Van Adrighem - Derrick, a Salt Lake City native, honed his dance skills at the renowned studio "The Vibe." During his senior year in 2014, he contributed to his hometown studio's national title in Latin ballroom formations. Since age 10, he's been immersed in ballroom dancing, earning multiple state and national titles at NDCA competitions. Under the guidance of Rick Robinson at The Vibe, Derrick had the privilege of training and dancing alongside notable performers like Marquet Hill, Jensen Arnold, Whitney Carson, and Tanish Belnap. After high school, he accepted a dance scholarship at UVU as part of their professional touring company. In 2015, Derrick's journey led him to Blackpool, England, where he and his team earned a world title at the esteemed Blackpool World Championships. His move to San Diego in 2019 allowed him to influence and elevate the local ballroom community significantly.
Andreas LuetznerAndreas Luetzner - Andreas started dancing at the age of 13 years. He is trained in International Ballroom and Latin dances (10-Dance). He has danced at the highest level in Germany, which is S-Klasse. Andreas is a 3-time East German 10-Dance Champion. After he came to the United States he started competing in American style. He is an Ohio Star Ball Rising Star American Smooth Semi-finalist and has danced in many other competitions. He is also a Theater Arts Pro/Am Emerald Ball Champion. Andreas is very proficient in ALL dances - American style, International style, and all night club dances as well. He is also a certified teacher in all of those styles. Sandra Naccache and Jorge LopezSandra Naccache and Jorge Lopez - Sandra Naccache and Jorge Lopez are two highly accomplished, sought after and experienced Argentine Tango artists. The combined backgrounds of this diverse duo makes them stand out, forming a strength and beauty in their dance that will draw you in. Born in Buenos Aires, Jorge took his first Tango lesson at 11. From that day, Tango became his passion and eventually his career making him renowned worldwide. He has had the honor to be a judge for preliminary world championships in several countries. Of Mediterranean origin, fluent in four languages, Sandra fell in love with dance as a child as she accompanied her mom to rehearsals. She eventually founded "Academie de danse Sandra Naccache" and won several awards as choreographer in Baladi productions. Her multi-faceted background in dance (Tango, Ballroom and Baladi) led her to Argentina in 2010 where she immersed herself in the culture. Since then she has dedicated her career to Argentine Tango. Based in Argentina and Montreal, Sandra and Jorge met in 2014 at "La Baldosa", a traditional local milonga in Buenos Aires. They began their collaboration in 2016 and formed a full-time dance couple in 2018. Before joining forces and until today both dancers have taught and performed internationally in festivals, theaters, cruise ships, television, movies and exclusive events.
Aimee NeumannAimee Neumann - Aimee has always enjoyed dancing but never started any formal training until 2014. After just one ballroom class she was hooked, and it has been a strong passion of hers ever since. She has competed as an amateur in both rhythm and smooth styles and has won many awards in both. She currently dances at the gold/open level in smooth but enjoys training in standard as well. Her smile and enthusiasm for dance and her partners shine when she is on the floor, either competitively or socially. Martin PickeringMartin Pickering - Martin has been teaching dance for 20+ years and competing professionally for 17. He is certified in smooth, standard, rhythm, and Latin through the silver level and qualified through open gold. Martin is very passionate about creating expression through movement and teaching others the way to find it within themselves. Helping to create a fun, supportive and motivated dance community is what he strives for, and is looking forward to bringing that mission to dancers at sea. See you on the dance floor!
Michael SingletonMichael Singleton - Michael started dancing ballet and taking gymnastics at the age of 5 to improve his coordination after his father enrolled him in t-ball. The t-ball didn’t interest Michael much, but dance sure did. Michael transitioned to ballroom dancing at the age of 16 and he started teaching shortly thereafter. Michael started teaching ballroom in Jacksonville in 2006, and in 2007 he was awarded top teacher in Jacksonville. Michael continues to win recognition as a top teacher locally and internationally on multiple professional competition dance circuits. Sheila WishardSheila Wishard - Shelia took ballet classes as a child and then started training horses where she learned much about the balance, lines, control and patience it takes to be a confident dancer and a competent teacher. She began her journey into the world of ballroom dance as a student and was hooked right away. She underwent extensive training by the 2014 and 2015 world smooth champions Peter and Alexandra Perzhu and learned the techniques required to be able to dance professionally and teach all forms of ballroom dance. Shelia has successfully competed all over the country with students of all ages.
Timothy Alan TetreaultTim Tetreault - Tim began dancing at the ripe old age of 9 in 1976, first learning Tap, Jazz and Ballet with some tumbling skills added in. He won his first competition at 13 as a Tap dancer in Coventry, Connecticut where he grew up and danced at his local dance studio. 1991 changed everything. Tim got an opportunity to learn and becoming a ballroom pro became the next goal and he never looked back. Tim had the benefit of teaching both the American and International styles of the ballroom world and has certifications in both styles. Attention to detail has been a staple in his own dancing and the students he teaches. He was the coach of the University of Connecticut Ballroom dance team from 1998 until 2008 and still enjoys Pro/Am competition with students. Look for Tim on the dance floor, you will not be sorry! Jatindah SinghJatindah Singh - J lives in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, UK. He started dancing in 1993, beginning with Salsa, Merengue and "Modern Jive". He then acquired skill in Argentine Tango, Kizomba, Bachata, East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Night Club 2 Step and Lindy Hop as well as both smooth and standard ballroom and rhythm as well as Latin. A truly distinguished gentleman with a genuine joy of music and dancing and a desire to share that joy!
David MorrisDavid Morris - David exhibits his love of ballroom dancing every time he takes the floor. He has been social dancing for over 35 years and also has limited amateur competitive experience. His main loves are American Smooth and West Coast Swing but also dances Hustle and American Rhythm dances. Besides his home state of Michigan, he can also be found dancing in New York, Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania. Arthur KobylasArthur Kobylas - Arthur's love of dancing began in high school in his native home of Poland, continuing on a dance team in college. He rekindled his passion of ballroom dancing 12 years ago, has had excellent training, competed, and most of all, enjoys sharing his talent with our lucky ladies at sea. Arthur is an enjoyable and gracious host!
Chris HarrisonChris Harrison - Chris was born in Birmingham, England where he grew up and played semi pro soccer and ice skated. At the age of 20, he won the British pairs ice skating championship and joined “The Ice Follies” skating show touring the United States and Canada and later attained the World Professional Pairs Skating Championship representing the USA. Of course, when he started ballroom dancing, he quickly had a passion for it and went on to compete at the silver level. He now lives in The Villages, Florida and loves traveling the world. He looks forward to sharing his enthusiasm and dance partnership on a voyage with Dancers At Sea soon. Chuck GarrettChuck Garrett - Chuck began his ballroom dance journey eleven years ago as a celebrity dancer for Dancing Like the Stars, a major fundraising event for the Boys and Girls Clubs in North Mississippi. He immediately fell in love with ballroom dance. He achieved DVIDA certification and served as a ballroom dance instructor for three and a half years at the Dance Studio of Tupelo. During that time, he taught many group classes and private lessons while also dancing as the instructor in many pro-am performances. As a teacher, he is dedicated to helping students improve in every lesson. Chuck is excited to cruise and be a part of Dancers At Sea!
Janie NordbergJanie Nordberg - Janie and Andy Nordberg are 8 time USA Dance national open level dancesport champions. As well as having 8 national titles, they were also finalists in the USA Dance American Smooth and American Rhythm national open level championships for 12 years running. In 2014, they placed in the top 6 of the Senior II International Standard style division of the USA Dance national championships winning them a trip to the World Championships of this event held in Toronto, Canada where they were 1 of 5 couples representing the USA there. You will blossom on the dance floor with their generous and gracious gift of sharing ballroom dance aboard Dancers At Sea! Andy NordbergAndy Nordberg - Janie and Andy Nordberg are 8 time USA Dance national open level dancesport champions. Angelo CianfroccoAngelo Cianfrocco - From ballet to ballroom, comedy to karaoke, Angelo is an all around entertainer. Three decades in the American Ballroom arena from Florida to California he has traveled with and trained along several top champions. An accomplished cabaret competitor he can be spotted dipping his partners any chance he gets. John MoserJohn Moser - John has loved to dance his entire life! At first, it was freestyle and then he found East Coast Swing...he was hooked! He started his ballroom training with attention to frame, rhythm, smoothness, and a gentle lead. He loves all genres of dance now and does it all! He has hosted in the Catskills and aboard Crystal. We welcome John to Dancers At Sea with his passion for music and movement, and he is always happy to see his partner smiling!
Melissa KellarMelissa Kellar - Melissa started dancing at the age of 5, including ballet, tap, jazz, modern and lyrical. She fell in love with ballroom at the age of 16, and only a year later won American smooth and rhythm as a junior pro/am at the world promotions world championship! As a professional she has won the American rhythm Astaire world championship, open rhythm regional champion and open rhythm national finalist! Sail away with Dancers At Sea and enjoy the enthusiastic talent and charm of our beautiful "Missy"! Phil PalmaPhil Palma - Phil is currently an instructor at the Goldcoast Ballroom in South Florida. He has taught there for many years and inspired many dancers to achieve their dreams on the dance floor! Well versed in all styles of Ballroom dance and has a particular flair for fun with Hustle, West Coast, Swing and Salsa! He loves teaching, social dancing and traveling the world with Dancers At Sea!
Hulya Erhan-SangenitoHulya Erhan-Sangenito - Ballroom dancing has been a source of joy and inspiration for over 25 years. While D.J. and hostess at Dulaine Dance Studio, she and her husband were recommended to teach on cruise ships and have been doing so since 2003. Attending teacher training at Dulaine Dance and at Dancesport in Manhattan and substitute teaching at Stepping Out Studios in New York have provided a solid foundation for teaching beginners to dance in smooth and rhythm ballroom dances as well as Argentine Tango. Her source of greatest satisfaction, however, moved by music, is in dancing socially with others. Joe GlasgowJoe Glasgow - Joe was introduced to the world of dance at the young age of 7. He and his twin brother were encouraged and trained throughout the coming years. Joe pursued the world of dance in New York and performed with the Babiak International Dance Ensemble. He eventually embraced the art and discipline of Ballroom and now competes at gold level! He is a regular in the Sarasota, Florida social ballroom community and a favorite of the ladies with Dancers At Sea as he shares his enthusiastic joy and talent with us.
Hamid MansoryHamid Mansory - Hamid's passion for life and dance come together on the dance floor. He gently and competently leads ladies of all levels in a wide range of dances from Salsa, Mambo, Merengue, Bachata, Cha-cha, Rumba, Jive, Argentine Tango, Foxtrot, Waltz, Viennese Waltz to Quick Step. His friendly personality is enhanced by enriching experiences he has had that remind him of how precious life is. His love of dancing, travel, music, nature, cultural diversity and meeting new people has led him to hosting on Cruise ships around the world. Janell Marie BradburryJanell Marie Bradburry - Janell grew up overseas where she did ballet, jazz and hip hop. Upon moving to Colorado, Janell began ballroom dancing in 1998 after watching the movie “Swing Kids” and fell in love with swing dancing. She continued to pursue her interest in partner dancing, learning all of the other ballroom dances. She competed in her first competition that same year, and after graduating college, became a dance instructor in Colorado where she worked for nearly 3 years before teaching independently. Janell continues to teach, compete, and perform, as she pursues her own passion for dancing, and seeks to inspire and help others along their own dance journey.
Barry Douglas Barry Douglas - A certified dance pro in all ballroom and Latin venues as well as the US Hustle champion in 1995! Barry covers "Smooth and groove" and is a delight to dance with! In addition, he has choreographed and produced a variety of international productions across the globe. He developed a unique Movement Dynamics Method to help dancers train properly. He has held over 35 state and regional dance championships in multiple styles across the US. Jeff ChinnJeff Chinn - Jeff has danced and competed for 30 years and is a USA dance 9 dance champion! His career as an engineer and achievements as a gymnast gave him a deep passion for achieving goals through dedication. You will find social dancing with Jeff an enjoyable and rewarding experience on your next Dancers At Sea voyage.
Mack MckenzieMack McKenzie - Started his professional Ballroom dancing career at World Champion Productions at the age of 19. His home town is Savannah, Georgia, where he dances and trains others in the beauty and art of ballroom dancing. He is fluid in a multitude of styles of dance including ballet, modern, jazz, tap, and lyrical dancing and has performed in many theatrical productions. Mack's favorite thing about dance is pushing his body to the limit to achieve new heights. You will take delight in his charming demeanor and his repertoire of exciting dance moves! Buddy StottsBuddy Stotts - Buddy started his professional career as a gymnast and dancer in award winning Vegas Cabaret where he became a lead singer, dancer and MC! He discovered Ballroom dancing in NYC and loved it! He has won 1st place titles in Swing and Hustle and has performed on Broadway in "A Chorus Line". He also loves to perform as a stand up comedian and will keep you smiling, laughing, and dancing like a dream! Buddy teaches all styles of American Rhythm, Smooth as well as Salsa, Bolero, Argentine Tango, Hustle, Lindy Hop and West Coast Swing!
Michael SternbergMichael Sternberg - Retiring early from a career in newspaper advertising sales and management, Michael Sternberg is very active in his ballroom dance community, both as a social dancer and as a teacher. He is proficient in Latin, Ballroom, Swing, and country western! When not on the dance floor, he's hiking in nature, or belting out popular songs in karaoke venues or piano bars. You will enjoy his easy-going friendly persona and his wonderful lead on the dance floor! Andre GosselinAndre Gosselin - Andre has been an enthusiast on the dance floor since the age of 14! A former Canadian Latin Champion and Fred Astaire Eastern Smooth Champion, he has lived in the US since 1990. He is a licentiate with the Imperial Society for Teachers of Dancing (ISTD), and has owned the Fred Astaire studio in Red Bank, New Jersey for 20 years. An absolute delight on the dance floor, he obviously loves what he does and inspires you to "Dance your Dreams".
Dale MorethDale Moreth- Ballroom dancing for 17 years in both Latin and Smooth. Dale really enjoys moving to the beat of the Rumba and "dancing on the clouds" to the Waltz. He also loves to hike and has "walked above the clouds" in Colorado, Alaska, and Scotland. Before Ballroom dancing, he was a nightclub dancer, so you are guaranteed fun on the dance floor no matter what is playing! Brandon BarrancoBrandon Barranco - Brandon has been teaching since 2006. He has received multiple top teacher accolades and has been recognized as one of the best in the country in Pro and Amateur competition. As a performer he has been featured in productions such as Bravo Birmingham, Dancing With The Stars Pro Show, Dare to Dance, Miss Alabama and most recently Dancing with the Chattanooga Stars. His choreography credits include hit productions of Annie, Footloose, The Producers, Bye Bye Birdie, Into the Woods among others.
Earl ForteEarl Forte - Earl is a long-time Ballroom and Nightclub dancer in the NY-NJ-PA area and has received extensive training from some of the nation's leading professionals in various styles of dance. He currently dances more than 15 dance styles, having won competitions in Hustle, Rumba, Salsa and West Coast Swing. Partners of all levels find dancing with Earl an absolute pleasure and often comment on his classy style and smooth, gentle lead. His smiling face, fabulous dancing spirit and infectious personality make for wonderful entertainment as well! James SangenitoJames Sangenito - James has brought the joy of dancing to students and dancers of all ages. He has taught ballroom dance in elementary school, in college, and in dance studios in Manhattan. He and his wife were recommended to teach ballroom dance on cruise ships and have been doing so since 2003, enriching the enjoyment of passengers who love cruising. Trained by Pierre Dulaine, Jamie Cuneen and Paul Pellicoro, James has a range and versatility in ballroom dance that has entertained ballroom dance enthusiasts for over twenty five years.
Danny CarterDanny Carter - Danny is a member of the National Dance Council of America and is owner and founder of Dance Moves in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Danny began his career as a ballroom dancer in Atlanta with the Fred Astaire Studio in 1982. After teaching and competing in ballroom dance, he moved to New York to become a professional performer. During his six years with American Ballroom Theater, Danny appeared on stage from Hong Kong to the Kennedy Center, performing to wide critical acclaim. Danny's greatest pleasure comes from teaching others the art and skill of dance. You will absolutely enjoy your opportunity to dance with Danny on Dancers At Sea! Maria Fiora Maria Fiora - Originally from Italy, Maria now lives on the East Coast. She found her passion for teaching and competing in Fred Astaire Dance Studios where she went on to own her own studio. With a background in music and fitness, she is inspired to teach dancers how to understand music and the details of partnership. She was a professional American Rhythm competitor from 1994-2003 in the United States with her Greek dance partner. They trained dancers in the US and Greece while also performing in Latin and Argentine Tango. In 2003 she opened Dance With Maria, where she enjoys teaching men and women footwork, styling, musicality and the beauty of dance.
Alfred JaucianAlfred Jaucian - Alfred is a smooth dancer who establishes quick and relaxed rapport with his partners at all skill levels. He provides clear leads and possesses musicality that makes it enjoyable to dance. He knows all the ballroom dances but has a special passion for Argentine Tango. Alfred has been dancing for 10 years in California. Greg SipeGreg Sipe - Greg brings 30 years of experience as a professional instructor and pro-am competitor in International and Standard as well as Rhythm and Swing. A handsome host extraordinaire who shares his talent and gracious manners with the ladies as he cruises and dances his way around the world with Dancers At Sea!
